Copying a Project
FilmToolz allows to copy an ongoing project, whether in whole or in part. To copy your project, hover over an ongoing project title and select Copy Ongoing Project in the drop-down menu.
Please note that the permission to copy an ongoing project is only granted to users with the Super-Administrator role. For other project participants, this menu item will be disabled.
You can select the data to be copied to the new project in the pop-up window. You can copy the following data to the new project:
- All users (they can access the project)
- Change history
- Directories (contractors, contracts, etc.)
- Scheduled costs
- Payments
- Accruals
- Cash flow
Please note that if you want to import payments and accruals, you have to check the Directories (Contractors) box, otherwise it will not be imported.
Select the required items, rename the copied project (if you are unhappy with the title suggested by the system) and click Copy.
Please note that the new project will be created under the same rate plan as the ongoing project, but it will be disabled until the payment is actually made.
