Introduction to Files
FilmToolz offers handy tools to organize collective management, centralized storage and categorisation of files.
You can add files to actors, characters, sets, locations, scenes or simply store project files without attaching them to any specific item. Learn more about the ways to add files in the relevant learning module.
Each project is provided with a basic disc space of 1 GB to store files on FilmToolz servers, and with an option to connect to external storages at Yandex.Disk, Google.Drive, and Youtube. Learn more about the management of storages in a dedicated learning module.
FilmToolz makes it possible to configure project users’ access to files flexibly. You can restrict access to files in general, configure access to files of different system items (for instance, by authorising the casting director to manage actors’ and characters’ files only), and even fine-tune the access rights in a more nuanced way using file category (for instance, by granting access to the actor’s “Test makeup & hair” only, without granting access to the actor’s “Documents”).
