Shooting on Film

If your project uses film cameras, and it is necessary to account for the estimated and actual film consumption, you can enable the “Shooting on film” option in the project settings. To do so, go to the “Project`s settings – Settings” section of the menu...

...and click on “Shooting on film”.

After you select the film type, the system will automatically offer the time-to-metres conversion ratio that you can adjust later by hand.

Once you enable the “Shooting on film” option on the page of the scene, you will see additional fields for length: “Estimated film usage” and “Actual film usage”.

The field for the estimated film usage will be filled out automatically when filling out the estimated screen time on the page of the scene. In a similar vein, the field for the actual film usage will be filled out automatically after filling out the actual screen time on the “Actual shoot” page. In addition, the totals for the estimated and actual film usage will appear in the “Daily Performance” report (in additional columns).
