General Project Parameters

For the system to be able to format the reports and analytics correctly, notify about discrepancies in the estimated and actual values (such as output, quantity of shooting days, total duration of shoots, etc.), it is necessary to specify the following core parameters when creating a project: planned production per day; number of episodes (in case of series); episode estimated screen time; number of units, number of cameras, type of film (in case of filming), as well as the scheduled start and end dates of the shoots, and approximate quantity of shooting days.

The “Number of Units” parameter makes it possible to build the shooting schedule and call sheets, and obtain production reports broken down by each unit individually.

If your project is being filmed, reflect this fact in the settings and specify the film type to be used for filming. This will make it possible for the system to convert the estimated and actual screen time from minutes into metres automatically, and include this value in the reports.

The Number of cameras” needs to be specified to fill out cutting cards later on.

The “Shooting day start time” is used by the system to build a call sheets. Learn more about this feature in the learning module covering management of call sheets

The scheduled start and completion date of the project along with the number of days and shooting days is used for the “General indicators” report on the home page of the project.

It is recommended to specify the primary city for the shoots – this will enable the service to upload weather forecasts and information on duration of daylight hours in the region to the shooting schedule management module.
