Templates
In Filmtoolz, you can add a new and save an existing cost estimate (cost estimate structure) as a template and use it later to add new projects.
It is also possible to upload your Excel template. Learn more about this feature in this module.
To save (add) a new template from the ongoing project, go to Actions with Cost Estimate and click Save as Template on the Cost Estimate page you want to save.
You will see a Save Template window, and you need to enter a name in it and click Save. This window also displays previously saved templates and FilmToolz system templates (for reference).
When adding a new project, you can select this template or any other template available to you, including a FilmToolz system template.
Uploading the Cost Estimate from the Template
If you added a project by selecting No Template, you can later go to Actions with Cost Estimate on the Cost Estimate page for this project and download the template you need in the Upload from Template section.
You will see a window where you can select your cost estimate template or use a predefined FilmToolz template. Then click Upload.
Please note that when you save the cost estimate template, data (rates and other indicators) are not saved. If you want to save a completed cost estimate template, you can copy a project, create a copy and (also by copying) create new projects in the future based on it.
